The Low Down: Discover the Secluded Beauty of Otago, Fiordland & The Catlins

Join me for an unforgettable photography adventure through New Zealand’s Otago region and beyond—from the alpine splendour of Queenstown and the serene lakes and rolling hills of Central Otago to the dramatic coastlines and waterfalls of The Catlins.

You’ll photograph majestic mountains, tranquil lakes, remote beaches, and stunning waterfalls, all while exploring some of the South Island’s most iconic and off-the-beaten-path locations.

Along the way, we’ll chase golden hour light over the iconic Moeraki Boulders, explore surreal limestone formations, and immerse ourselves in the untouched wilderness of UNESCO-listed Fiordland National Park. We’ll venture into the heart of Milford Sound to capture its breathtaking peaks, calm waters, and otherworldly beauty.

This workshop also includes a private wildlife tour, where we’ll explore habitats that are home to some of New Zealand’s unique native species. With a little luck and patience, you may have the chance to photograph wildlife like playful fur seals and the rare yellow-eyed penguin in their natural environment.

Expect rewarding days filled with scenic drives, guided photography sessions, and opportunities to enhance your skills while building a stunning portfolio of New Zealand landscapes—and, if nature allows, wildlife.
